The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens - Palm Spring

The Living Desert preserves and showcases the beautiful wildlife and plants of the desert worlds - from California and North America to Africa. This amazing nature preserve features incredible animal exhibits, with creatures from around the globe, beautiful wild gardens, miles of desert hiking trails, wildlife shows and guided tours. Discover the Jaguar Exhibit, Birds of Australian Outback, North American Desert and the Village WaTuTu, where you can buy hand-crafted African goods in the marketplace.     The Zoo is home to amazing desert animals that can withstand the harsh heat and environment. Encounter a leopard, bobcat, cheetah, jaguar, gazelle, camel, zebra, roadrunner and pythons. You will also see graceful hawks and falcons.

    Take a journey through the desert world – from North America to Africa - by exploring amazing animal exhibits, aviaries and gardens.
