Amazing Canyon Views on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Ride up the vertical cliffs of the Chino Canyon on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, offering panoramic views of the beautiful mountain and valley landscapes. The "World's Largest Rotating Tramcar" takes you 8,500 feet high into the San Jacinto Mountains with miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails in the pristine wilderness of Mount San Jacinto State Park. Trek to the 10,834 foot peak of Mt. San Jacinto or enjoy a nature walk through the breathtaking Long Valley behind the Mountain Station. Enjoy dining at Peak's Restaurant, a food experience in the clouds, or sip cocktails at the Lookout Lounge located at the very top.   • Can I take outside food to the top?

    Visitors may bring food for a picnic lunch to the top on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Pack a cooler or basket up with your favorite treats and beverages and dine with the breathtaking canyons and mountains as your backdrop. If you plan to hike before or after, there are locker rentals on the bottom level of the tram station for you to store your belongings for just $1.50. 
  • How long does the Palm Spring Aerial Tram ride take?

    The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway rides are approximately ten minutes long in each direction. The tram cars run every 30 minutes and always on the hour. Once you arrive 8,516 feet high to the top, there are two restaurants, an observation deck, a natural history museum, two theaters, a gift shop, and over 50 miles of hiking trails to explore.
